CWS is present in 16 countries and employs over 7 900 employees. We have over 52 own laundries equipped with the most modern technologies and offer full service to our customers in the field of:
We have been active in the area of rental and textile service since 1899 and have over 115 years tradition and know-how. In 2016 CWS-boco has divided into 2 divisions CWS for sanitary products and boco for clothes. The goal is to further develop each division individually with higher focus on the processes and quality to bring you even better services.
Our main goal is quality, therefore we cooperate only with the selected suppliers and producers, who meet our high requirements in all areas. Besides our own company in Germany supplying us with textiles we are cooperation as well with local textile producers who meet our strict norms and criteria. Our textiles are produced from verified materials and appropriate for the industrial washing.
Rental at CWS also means service behind the scenes as well: delivery, collection, laundering, quality control, mending and replacement... Where other providers think they’ve finished, that’s when we really get going. We remain our customers' reliable point of contact after the appropriate products have been chosen and so ensure the cleanliness and functionality of our products at all times. For our customers, that means: one less thing to worry about!
CWS is a symbol of cleanliness for the general public. With a great reputation comes great responsibility. We have now been providing our customers with workwear, protective and cleanroom clothing, washroom hygiene solutions, dust control mats and flat linen in a rental service for many decades. At the same time, we run an energy-intensive business and the challenges we come up against are enormous: For example, we wash approximately 473 tonnes of textiles in our laundries and deliver more than 124 million items to our customers every day. We support our customers in their day-to-day business by providing tailor-made service solutions and assuming responsibility for an environmentally friendly service
This is the thinking on which our actions and business are founded. Every day, we as a service provider for cleanliness and hygiene put all of our efforts into working in a way which is as in tune with our environment as possible. For this reason, sustainable business, an approach to work which protects natural resources and respectful treatment of our fellow man and planet are our guiding principles. Moreover, this applies throughout the entire value creation chain, from production to service.
Our standard service cycle lasts always one week. Therefore to assure the whole logistics we need at least the set of three pieces per wearer. When one piece is being used by the wearer, second piece is in the locker ready to be used and the third piece is in the laundry, where it is washed, cleaned and maintained. In case of multi-shift operation or necessity to change the workwear more often (for example daily) we count more pieces of workwear per wearer to assure the functioning of the whole process.
1. COLLECTION - Our service drivers regularly collect the rental textiles from customers for reprocessing in the laundry.
2. SORTING - The textiles are sorted at the laundry in order to feed them into different wash programmes. This ensures that each item gets precisely the type of cleaning it requires.
3. WASHING + DRYING - We wash around 28 million towel rolls, 9 million mats and 87 million items of clothing per year in our laundries across Europe – in a way that is as resource-friendly as possible.
4. QUALITY CONTROL - The quality of our products is under constant scrutiny at all stages of our service cycle: From the service driver during collection and delivery to the employees at all the stations in the laundry.
5. REPAIRS + REPLACEMENT - Areas affected by wear are repaired directly in the laundry. If that is not possible, the item is replaced.
