Skilled soldering technicians will compete to solder a complex circuit board to win the title of 2025 National Champion and the cash prize and the coveted right to compete in this year's IPC Hand Soldering World Championships.

Competition for Professionals

Professional competitors must solder a complex printed circuit board assembly within 60 minutes, meeting IPC-A-610 Class 3 acceptance criteria, as verified by IPC Master Trainers (MIT). Other evaluation criteria include: assembly process, assembly quality, electronics operation and assembly time.

Any company that enters 2 or 3 people in the competition is eligible. The highest combined score of competitors from the same company will determine which company will take home the HSC Best Company Team Award.
